Our van didn’t have any plugs in the shower when we bought it from new, they are an unusual size has anyone managed to find any for sale anywhere?

Only use I can think of is to stop smells coming up when your grey water tank gets dirty. That is if your motorhome doesn't have water traps on the shower drain line(s).

Edit beaten to it by Paul.

If you recently bought it tell the dealer to get you some FOC as you should have had some with it. You could just use some bits of silicone mat cut to sit over the holes.

I'm trying to imagine a use for such a thing :giggler:.

I sometimes have trouble getting all the water out but up to now it has never tried to get back in.

Do you have a plug in your shower at home?
Can't understand why anyone would want to stand in water they just washed in.
If it is to prevent smells from the tank a wet flannel over the hole will do the same job.

No need for a plug (or plugs). If there is a smell coming from the waste tank, there should be a trap below and it needs re-filling with water after you've stopped travelling. Shower trays don't usually hold much water, you could flood the van if you let the water build up and it could be made of materials that were not expected to get wet.

Our motorhome does have traps on both the shower drains, but I understand that many others do not.

Not long enough!
Are they the basket type plugs?
Stops all the crap going down the plug hole when you shower. Collects it all, then easy to empty. Should have been supplied with van.

No, just little itsy-bitsy plugs like the one Gerry has shown.

I’ve really splashed out on some on Amazon. Two different sizes hopefully one of them will fit as they are tapered and neither are the exact size. £1.99 each:LOL::LOL::LOL:

No neither fitted.
Embarrassingly last week I found the plugs supplied with the van!
The van was brand new when we got it and we received some plastic bags with toilet roll holders and the like in them which have been in our garage ever since, I sorted some stuff out and found the plugs!

We have used the shower with plug inserted to soak some items before washing which are too big for the sink. Also to soak the tray floor and the shower non-slip mat before washing.
