hi, we have a new to us 1997 Hymer 544, the tap in the bathroom has a shower cable coming out the tap onto a shower head that retracts and sits in the tap which is “blue”.
The tap and the hose are in good order but the shower head could do with being replaced. Any ideas where I might get a replacement. Brown hills only offer a complete tap at £182. I am happy for a chrome /white shower head, did not really want to pay for the complete tap.

I don’t know your particular model but the way you describe it sounds pretty standard.

I would suggest you take your m/h to any decent Caravan accessories outlet and compare your shower head to those on sale. We replaced ours at a cost of just over £8.

eco camel do an excellent replacement shower head

Is that because it is scruffy, or gives a poor flow of water. If the latter, have you tried descaling it?

We have the same setup, with the original shower head (1999), and it performs well. (y)

Don't let Broonfools rip you off, as the thread on the female hose connector, will accept most shower heads. It's just a matter of finding one that will give a good flow without using too much water.

Good luck,

Jock. :)

Hmmmm B&M do one that will fit the hose £1.99 though ours came from Bricomarche at 3€99c

Have you got a photo?

Almost any shower head will do. If you can get one similar to the "Ecocamel" or the "Stone Steam" all the better as less water flows through in use which is not a bad thing in a motorhome.

Hi, thanks for your ideas, the hose retracts back into the tap and becomes the tap for the sink.its not the same size as household showers, it’s a smaller diameter, and fits into the section of the tap attached to the sink, the tap on the sink turns on the shower head for both. I will take a picture tomorrow, standard Hymer bathroom tap from 1990’s - 2004 ish

This is the shower head fitted to ours, albeit ours is blue, as is the tap.

Reich Shower Head.

There are other Reich shower heads available on the same site.

Thank you all so much, the picture of the Hymer one above is indeed like ours but has different connections underneath so they charge £180ish pounds, but changing the pipes is not difficult so the ideas you have sent are a great exchange and half the money, I have already saved pounds with your help, £15 membership well spent, thanks again.
