There doesn't seem to be one best outfit for the shower block run on campsites - from towels to bulky dressing gowns, kaftans to normal clothes there's a huge variety! We've been on the hunt for something easy so no more standing on one leg on slippery floors for Mr Wombles - considered changing robes but the terry towelling type were all too bulky but now have one of these each https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D94Q62D2?tag=mhf04-21 which are microfibre so warm but not bulky & currently the light grey "Stone" is at a bargain price of £17.99 delivered with free returns (y) They are generous sizing wise so we went for a Small for me (I'm not ever usually that!) & Medium for him mainly due to getting the right length & plenty of room in both but they roll up small. The light grey is lighter again than in the photo so we will look a big ghostly 👻👻 but lots of colour options at £22.99 which is still a keen price. The manufacturer Two Bare Feet is based in Devon & it's a popular brand in the surfing community - these do seem well made & wash up well.

We have them as well, perfect for shower, beach, or just kicking back in post showering.
Really brings out my feminine side🤣🤣.
Mike.

I just have my throng and Crocs, both easy to slip out of should circumstances require it!

Many years ago, my new posh girlfriend always carried an old traditional cycling cape whenever we went for a walk in the countryside.

Silly me, I thought it was so she would not get grass stains on her clothing should the passion overcome her.

A few weeks later, the real reason became obvious.
It was so she could put it over her head while squatting down to have a pee and not being seen! 😆

They were at Newark, wish now i had had a closer look.

We looked at “dry robes” for the shower run, but the bulk of them was off putting. These look better being microfibre. I’ve been wandering over wearing T-shirt and shorts, or Lycra and base layer after cycling, but the revelation on the last trip was carrying fresh clothing, towel and wash bag in a folding bucket, keeping it dry.

Sometimes walking from the shower block to the van when it's windy can be interesting 😀
As an occasional kilt wearer, you do appreciate the heavier weave and the full 9yds of material ;)

Mrs PB has one that has a very very heavy hint of Mexican poncho...one day I'm going to buy her the matching hat and a stick on curly mustache and see if she'd dare......

Then it'll be Python Rabbit time me thinks.

We saw them there, nearly bought one at £25.00

I have a 2 Bare Feet XL one in light blue (bought in Wells Cathedral market & only tried on once) that I can bring to Drax for £15 if anyone DEFINITELY wants it?

Another fan of Dry Robe (copies). Only thing needed to wear to the shower and ideal for cooler nights sitting out with a glass of red!👍

Dryrobe winter. Just shorts in the spring, and summer

As someone who swims around the year in lakes and pools, I have a very very old Dry Robe ( pre swimming becoming trendy ::bigsmile: ), this is before there was any other brand on the market. I also have a couple of towelling robes , one a dry robe brand and the other a Rapanui.

I have this week added to my kit and taken delivery of a zip up towelling Dry robe, I will be modelling it at the lake this morning::bigsmile:

We swim ladies should be dry robe ambassadors ::bigsmile:

But it's only 2 feet from the bed to the shower. :ROFLMAO:
Have to say that's the thing we really miss about our bigger van - the shower is a bit on the tight side but jammies to the shower is fine and you can always look away!
