I think I have finally found the ideal bin for a motorhome after years of searching.

Spotted these the other day and its ideal for our van as it folds into three positions, slim version, top half open and fully open, it slots onto any drawer or cupboard front and is also free standing if you want to use it anywhere else.

Its main position for us is on the middle drawer in the kitchen unit and still allows access to the cupboard below. It can also go in the aisle or on the folding table for use when outside. Plastic bags fit nicely in the bin and there's a little storage flap in the bottom where you can store rolled up spare bags. You don't have to use plastic or paper bags as its fully washable.

I got mine from a UK Ebay seller but there's loads of others out there on Ebay or Amazon along with some different colours if you don't like white, most are from China so check delivery times on those, just search for collapsible or foldable bin.

Carrier bag hanging on two hooks for us..

Yep, got that t shirt, we used to stick 2 upside down hooks on the inside of a cupboard door and drape the bag over the outside of the door, looked a right mess though.

Rather like the look of that. We have a PVC with a drop down work top next to the sink. I think it might be handy there.

You could use a ladder bucket, it would hook over a draw, very strong.

Thanks for that - more stuff I probably don't need! I bought two, different colours, one for general waste and one for recycling.

Of course being a Burstner our one has an inbuilt brush and shovel.

Is it waterproof? Wouldn't want Tuna water dribbling out the bottom I don't trust a bag to be.

Use a double bag? Or wrap anything likely to be smelly or dribbly.

..I 1/2 filled it with water the other day and it appears to be watertight.

Thanks for the idea. Anything must be better than the useless bin that came with our van. Every trip out we keep saying that we must change it. Well today it has moved to the top of the list. After struggling to get the rubbish bag out again this morning, I went to put a fresh bin liner in, and was reaching in to the excessively deep bin when hubby opened the door and I nearly went flying out of the van
