All the gear, and no idea!
There was a thread like this before, but for the life of me I can’t find it!!
Anyhow now we have a nice size garage in our new to us Adria Sonic we are Looking for ideas on how best to store stuff with neat, clever thinking. Stuff I’m gonna need for European trips, even cleaning stuff, all input will be gratefully received. Ta.

That's everything I'll ever need except a motorbike -- Oh and more wine

When you have decided how to store stuff then you need to secure it.

I note from these and previous photos of garages that many people rely on bungees, which are OK for really light items but I favour ratchet straps for anything with any weight or which can move and stretch bungees. We use them for our bicycles, spare water, teak table and chairs etc. and some weighty boxes on the plinths.

At the moment ours has in it

Twin tub
Two fold up electric bikes
Two Spanish gas bottles
Rotary washing line
7 litre diesel container
Two wind breaks
Underskirt wind blocker
Large box of steel pegs
Two small toolboxes full of small spares
Tray full of tie down
Tray full of bike spares
Two chairs
Fold up foot rest
Fold up 'larder'
Two funnels
Two spare windbreak poles
Two hoses ( one flat type and one 'magic'type )
Two buckets ( one full of cleaning stuff )
Two 3"x 2" x 20" blocks of wood to raise the step a bit
Two blocks of wood to get said Spanish gas bottles a bit higher so I can use the standard pig tail when they are on the floor
Two air pumps for the push bikes
Two cask barrow type trolleys ( Just in case the 'facilities' are miles away.. Dunno why we carry two though ! )
Two fold up tables
Two breathable mats
Plus gawd know what else in bit and bobs !

So no picture as all you would see is a wall of crap !!!!!!
All the other stuff is spread around all the other lockers :)

I’d hazard a guess at a Hymer B678DL same as ours a really nice van??? but a lot tidier than mine in the garage?

A Garage, what’s a garage? We have 1 outside locker and that’s our lot. But we bloody love looking at our fellow travellers garages, some we’ve seen on our travels are enough to make my hubby weep into his beer...such a waste. Sorry too embarrassed to post a piccy, but we love our van and it serves the 2 of us well??

Our "garage" is accessible from the rear by opening the barn doors at the back of the van, and at the front by bending double and blindly scrabbling for something which I could see when standing up but can't when bent down because I lack the flexibility to squeeze myself into the space under the bed between the bathroom and kitchen!

Its still a garage to us though, nearly everything is in boxes with items for the van being on the outside side and those for life in the van on the inside side.

We have spent many years touring in a two seater open top car with very little or no boot, so when I made our van conversion I only allowed for a small storage area, but it holds everything we need (for now)!
A place for everything and everything in it's place ;-)
There are afew things missing in the piccy...........wet suite, snorkel and flippers, and on the way home a couple of boxes of wine etc.

The first is it empty

what I wanted to show was the door pockets I made from this but don't have any pictures
s-l225.jpg I've used two of them to make four door pockets at a considerably less cost that the Fiamma ones

I've moved everything especially heavy items forward towards the back axle. Ive moved the heavy jack box from the wooden mounting on the very rear wall but retains the factory steel mountings. The spare wheel has a threaded 12mm bar (and home made nut) through a 3x2 timber to support it. Nothing else is heavy so bungie's are quite strong enough. The plinth makes an ideal mounting rail.

As Speve stated it's a Hymer B678DL.

(But if I remember correctly, talking to your husband at Chester last year you already carry a Duke 790 in your Mizar.)

Hi we had a 690 which was fine in the garage, but the 790 which it has replaced is heavier we also want to carry a spare wheel. can't decide whether to tart up the van we have or change it, John fancies a lighter van and an easylifter. So would need to be a shorter van.

I may have an Easylifter in my home garage in need of a new home which I’ve yet to advertise... ;)
