I know they're not like a solo but believe me, they are fun to ride. As you no doubt already know the downside is getting stuck in traffic but if I ever reach the stage where I can't hold a solo up then a trike is a definite possibility.
Now that got me thinking, do you actually ride a trike or drive a trike. You'd drive a three wheeler Del Boy Family Trotter car, but ride a 3 wheel trike.

As you're sat on it I would say you ride it plus you have handlebars not a steering wheel.
