If coming to Wales for a holiday, please remember that face masks still have to be worn in shops and public buildings.
We are a different country and that is still the law here, so please respect that and obey it.

Shop workers are being abused by tourist as they try to explain that. Today, one young lady shop worker, was threatened with being glassed by a tourist today, who argued with her that he didn’t have to.

Please adhere to this law and remember to have some respect for these people just doing their job. You can still have a good time here.

Will still be wearing mine anyway in public indoor spaces for a long time yet.
Recently been away and have been amassed at the amount of people not wearing face coverings in some places.
And yet in other places spot the ones who don’t

On this side of the border i observe about 50/50 wearing/not wearing in shops
Personal choice i prefer to wear, i try to keep well clear of people that chose not to and appreciated they don't have to.
There are still 25,000 a day confirmed, it's coming from somewhere. So in my mind i will still wear a mask indoors until the number gets down to about 5k ish.
My choice.

Shop workers have been at the front of this since day one. No masks or screens to protect them in the early days. I where one and think it is only right if they have to . They have to wear them all day not the half hour it takes to do your shopping. I would make if mandatory no excuses.

Like someone said, if you don't like it go somewhere else.
I don't mind a supermarket as you can keep away from the non wearers.
Small shops where you cannot avoid the the non wearers i don't go in.
As we all know it's an individual choice, no song and dance about it.

Do the sheep still have to wear masks and is there a social distancing role when interacting with them ..

Mister B. When people are threatened when doing their job, you think that’s funny and have to make a not very funny joke. Where is your empathy.
It's a really funny joke, though of course it may be a serious question for some people ...

Hope that woke horse of yours isn't too high ... Surmising of course that the glassing report isn't an urban myth, to suggest that I wouldn't have empathy if the story is true is a bit harsh don't you think?

But thanks for asking me and every other Funster to obey the law if I go to Wales as I wouldn't have done so if you hadn't ...

Same here in Cornwall! No respect for anyone ! Just "entitled Benidormers"

Here is why I will continue to wear a mask, and why it should be as antisocial as drink driving to be unvaccinated:

On Monday morning I popped into Marks and Spencer unexpectedly before a funeral. Whilst I was in the queue to pay, I spotted an old lady on the floor who'd toppled over on her zimmer. Needless to say I got pretty close to her as I helped her up, dusted her down and checked her over before her friend arrived.

Had I been someone insistent on my "right" not to wear a mask in a shop, I could have unwittingly put a vulnerable person at risk simply by helping them.

It's not your own protection I care about - I'm quite happy for you to play Russian roulette with your own health just as I would be for you to get in a car after a skinful. I care about your ability to cause harm to other innocent people.

I've not worn a mask since it became legal not to.
There will come a point when we all need to make that decision, as we won't be doing it forever. For some of us it is later than when it stopped being a legal requirement.

Seeing the dreadful harm that the virus still wreaks in the hospitals I work in, and understanding the risks that are still extant despite a hugely successful vaccine programme means I will extend the courtesy for a bit longer as the risk continues to subside. I reckon once our more vulnerable citizens have had their booster by the mid-autumn might be the right time.

None of the shop assistants have to wear them in Scotland ...just the customers. No checkout staff wearing them in asda , and the takeaways i deliver for don't wear them either.

Is that the booster i said would be necessary back in January and everyone told me it wasn't happening 🤣🤣 annual covid vaccine will now go alongside the flu jab .

Bottom line is life has to go on and if you see someone in a shop not wearing on just carry on with your business, it’s their choice but remember.

It’s the sensible ones that have chosen to carry on wearing them not because the government’s have said you must but because it’s the sociable thing to do for your self, friends and anyone around you.

It’s not going to be for ever but if you see anyone not wearing one just smile knowing soon they may realise the danger they pose to all and the possibility of taking COVID home to their parents, wife, kids and that’s the selfish act.

& that statement in effect means that there is no one in government that is sensible in the slightest?

Wales feels a bit special about all this. It’s like “don’t bring your germs here”

Its a load of bollox really.

I am Welsh and proud but having spent the last 10 days with my family down there it is clear they are acting just like we are.

Get off your high horse

Its unlikely they would take covid home as the masks don't stop you catching it ...they are supposed to stop you spreading it if you had it.

I didn’t say governments or anyone in such a place did I. Please stop trying to twist things.

Since it became legal for peeps to avoid wearing masks, my better half and both sprogs have caught covid and several friends have. Several of these have been double jabbed, one or more single jabbed and several experiencing post viral fatigue. Folk may be avoiding wearing masks for a number of reasons but if they are thinking how right they are to not wear them, they might regret it later.

My girls on front counter still get threatened with violence etc because the doilies for Mrs Smiths Autotrail are on back order. It’s a joke.
