During the day it’s outside, at night or late evening it’s inside.

We have a clip top one which allows the dog to drink but minimum spillage and difficult to tip over.

We have the same but in stainless steel. Also a larger one for use outside that they always manage to tip over.

We tried putting our last dogs bowls between the front seats but he used to jump off the seats and put his foot in one spilling the contents under the seats.
We have bought a bone shaped mat with raised edges from Pets at Home and put it at the side of the habitation door. It occasionally gets knocked but the spillage is contained.

Although our dogs always have water available in transit they rarely if ever
drink any. It may be a protective method in case its a long time to the next wee break but it never is, as our bladders are not as good as theirs. A stop at least every two hours for the entire company to get relief and usually a cup of coffee, which decreases the time to the next stop of course.

The Hymer had an Umbrella stand! we removed the tray and now the dogs water sits there.
On the move it sits in the sink, she has a soft foldable bowl and bottle for travelling, if she needs water.

I was feeding the birds yesterday and stepped back into the bowl of water I leave out for other wildlife. I was wearing my Crocs flip flops, I couldn't walk I was sliding all over the place. I had to kick them off and go bare foot across the grass, then my puppy stole one of them and was running around teasing me with it :giggle:

In the van, dog bowl in the shower on a non slip mat, used to stay put even when travelling (of course it was my idea) (y)
