Looks comfy, may I ask where from and was they expensive?

The place i used was here:
www.tannery-sheepskin.com

They have all sorts... dyed mouflons, dyed psychedelics, naturals, natural browns, stitched etc.

I knew i wanted two stitched but didn't like the ones actually on the website...the were nice, just not what i wanted for the van. I said I wanted natural browns, wanted two sets same size and patterns and they sent me some photos of skins. After a few photos, i liked the look of one set, I ok'ed it and they stitched them up and sent them just under a week ago. Arrived today.

Cost was £36.59 each finished rug, delivery was £17.89 and then VAT on top of that all. I sent a Paypal payment to the email they sent me (sent as GBP), it was all very easy!!

...And they are VERY soft!!

Looks like you've got two bears in your seats:giggle:

I never knew those little clip things existed!

I thought furry seat covers had gone out of fashion. I had sheep skin covers on the seats of my Datsun 160 SSS in the early eighties. They were certainly very comfortable in all weathers.

Or outside, on your chairs. Makes a cool night lovely and toasty. I keep a second set on the outdoor chairs.

In fact, when my daughter was a baby and I couldn’t bear to get up even one more time, I use to sleep next to her cot on one. We had wooden floors, and I was perfectly comfortable. I can’t imagine why everyone doesn’t have houses full of them! Also, the dog adores them.

I’m just waiting for 5he cat to find them! Any opportunity and he’s in the van stretched out on the bed...

They do look a little like a couple of bears hunkered down in the front. I may need to trim the tail ends, may make a couple of pairs of ears and attach them to the top!

They look really good!
I can't read Polish so didn't understand their website, but some nice products there.
I'm not suggesting the below-mentioned is better because I don't know the company these came from, though it looks like a small tannery which tend to have high standards.
Anyhow, FWIW:

If you want uk-made, ethically-produced, high welfare standard, premium-quality skins go to (virtually or actually) SkyeSkyns
I know they're more expensive but the sheep have a better life and a kinder death than with the cheaper mass-produced skins. The quality and durability is second to none, most skins are machine-washable, they have great after-sales including a refurbishment service, and you'd be supporting a small, rural, UK business.

They look lovely and warm. I won’t be getting one, I have more trouble keeping cool. 😎

Re the website...on the top right hand, it basically says ‘Polish’. If you hover over it, it should give you the option to load the ‘English’ version. Up till I found that, I was copying the site address into Google translate!

I couldn't get on with mine, I found them very uncomfortable, so now they make beautiful rugs instead

Pusscat a few questions if I may
Can I ask exactly what it was you ordered. (I can't see seat coverings for motorhome vehicles
anywhere listed.)
Also did you have to send in measurements of the van seats?
Was the price you quoted of £36.59 the full price for each complete seat cover.

Many thanks mate
Kev

Hi Kev,
No worries...
I didn’t order seat covers, I just ordered two of their sheepskins which are doubles stitched. I said I wanted the total length to be around 180 and the width at the greatest point to be around 80cm I think. I did specify what colours I wanted and that they had to be not dyes ie natural.

I’ll hook Out the emails I sent and copy my text into this thread.
I think they ended up a little more expensive (ha!) than the ones already made on their website as I wanted specific type /colour and to be able to see the skins before ‘stitchup’...also remember that price needs vat added.

Cheers

thanks puss any info would be great

As promised, some details. I've included a copy of the invoice so you can see the breakdown of costs.

What I asked for was:
"Thank you for your reply to my recent ‘web chat’ message yesterday.
I am wanting 2 of the ‘two stitched sheepskins’ in natural (not dyed) brown colours that look very similar to each other. They will be used as 2 seat covers side by side.
I’ve looked at your website and the type / colour of sheepskins I would like are like these photographs, browns with some lighter parts and fairly symmetrical pattern of colour."

They did send a first set of photos which were quite stunning skins but we decided it wouldn't go with the van colours so we said no and asked for a different set. Also the first set, one set were smaller than the other and I said I wanted them to be similar shape, which was corrected in the second batch of photos i received.

Once i was happy, Kinga then sent me an email address to send the paypal money to and it was all rather simples!
