Judy has been and gone and booked 4 nights at Devises (Camping and Caravanning Club site) in March to try and get me out of the doldrums.. :RollEyes:

It`s our wedding anniversary, so she is treating me.. :Eeek:

How the :swear2: is reminding me of 56 years of marriage going to get me out of the doldrums.... :doh::groan:

How are you doing PaulyP keep your chin up mate, I was there 14 years ago and believe me it never goes away but it definitely gets better.

Cheers chaser, I know what you mean, it’s one week ago today and doesn’t seen real, probably next Thursday at the funeral it will hit me, daughter and I have been running round all week and the number of phone calls I’ve made is unbelievable. Son has been in Portugal on business and gets back tonight to Edinburgh where his company is based, he comes home next Wednesday but wants to be involved so he, son in law will be carrying the coffin, I couldn’t do it and want to support my daughter, so I’ve picked his best mate of 40 years to do it but told him to come up with three more as he has loads of mates who virtually grew up at our open house and I couldn’t choose any others.

Try as you all might!...Nah! I aint gonna re-join The CCC or The CMC, felt I was held hostage for a while, as like many others forgot to cancel The DDM renewal.

Only re-joined for the CL`s and club sites..

Normal for this is approx £138 for 4 nights.... but being OAP`s down to £84...

Have been to one of their rally`s...... good site and nice people.... was a good Autumn rally..

£13. per night down from £21... what`s not to like.. (y)
 
Nice site that Mo.

I wasn’t really impressed by the food in the pub next to the site but that was about 5 years ago so may have changed.

There is a nice pub along the canal which is a flat walk and they did decent food.

Enjoy it(y)
 
When you go to the Caen Hill Locks, make sure you go from Devizes…..it’s a fair old trek up the hill by the locks…..:whew::whew: ;)
