I was rather enjoying the flakes falling gently across my screen! Might we have them back again until twelfth night Jim?

Snow here today in sunny Cheshire,the garden is white over.

It was nice to have it on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, the problem is that it severely impacts users CPU and that light dusting of snow will have funsters computer fans whirring away as it processes all those moving parts of the show storm.

I just checked on my iMac

This is a powerful machine with plenty of resources. I have a shed load of things open and was using 38% CPU. as soon as I open the browser with snow on it, the CPU leaps to 88%

Hi Russ, not enough so far this winter, but fingers crossed that I can do a bit of boarding in the Brecon Beacons this season

Whilst I'm primarily a Snowboarder, I also ski & telemark

Three inches of snow?! No.... let me say that again.... THREE INCHES OF SNOW?! That's not snow! that's a dusting! That's icing sugar! That's not even a heavy frost! If people didn't drive around with baldy tyres, and exercised some restraint when accelerating and braking there wouldn't be any problem.
