how much should I pay to cross the new Severn bridge?
are we classed as a commercial vehicle up to 3500KG or equivalent as a 9 seater mini- bus?

we won't be in a rush and driving up to Gloucester and back down would be less than the commercial price.

    Cheers

We went last year & I asked the same question as we are 11.5 tons - this was there reply:
    Dear Arthur

As long as your vehicle is fitted with the three requirements, it will be classified as a motor caravan which will fall within category 1 (£6.20). The weight is not taken into consideration with motor caravans, unless the requirements aren’t met and then the vehicle will fall within category 3.

I hope this further information clarifies the situation.

    Regards

We go over the bridges quite often in our MoHo and have always been charged the same as a car £6.40.

    Regards,

    Trikeman. ;)

    Thanks Arthur,

May have to go the long way round anyway, £6.20 will be a saving on diesel but all part of the journey besides,
the better half will be a wreck going over the bridge .... either that or slurring from the drink:)

    Cheers

Crossed it a few times last year and paid the price of a car in our MH.

Its the same class as a car, we cross it all the time in the m/home, even the 36ft Rv was the same price. (y)
