I have just acquired (thanks Steve) an EP 10A solar controller and want to make sure I don't overcook or undercharge my batteries. They are Humax LV25 MF lead acid but with no option of topping up the acid. Does this make them 'sealed'?

The controller has these parameters:

Should I have the controller set for sealed or flooded?
Also there is an option of different frequencies to be set 25, 50 and 100Hz. The default is 25Hz and I have left it on that and it seems to be working...
Thanks
Paddy

Thanks gus-lopez . I presume you are referring to the frequency question. Any thoughts about the battery type settings?

Set it to a sealed battery unless you can top up the cells with distilled water. Leave the frequency set to the default 25Hz unless you get electrical interference on your motor home TV radio etc

Thanks Bevlar - changed it over to the sealed setting. Spent a happy half hour (that's lockdown for you) doing battery readings before and after to check that the peak voltage indeed fell from 14.7v to 14 .3v in full sun.
