I have just installed and enabled elastic search which will give you much improved search facilities.

Unfortunately it means rebuilding the search index which is very processor intensive so may slow the server down. Please don't worry this is a temporary state of affairs and normal service+ will be restored shortly.

Thank you for your patience.

Aren't you supposed to be relaxing on a desert island being fanned by dusky maidens, Karl? :)
You offering @Janine ;):rofl:

Anyway, good news the new search system is up and running and working ok as far as I can see.

Give it a test please and see what you think?

Surely leaning on a lampost while playing a ukelele restricts your fingering the correct strings Janine? :whistle:

I am sure I read something recently saying you were standing back from site admin. I shall send Matron round with a sphygmomanometer! :)

Yes I bought a super fast search engine, installed today, it searches a million posts in nanoseconds and returns relevant results. That's a first for a motorhome forum:D

Shame it can't help me remember what I was searching for

Ahhh yes I remember ride on mowers for the smaller decking area

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Good Grief. That'll bury my posts then! But as long as it doesn't slap my wrist for asking too many sub-20 second searches that will be an improvement.

Look forward to using it.

I am no longer doing front end stuff. ie, emoticons, layout, menus or any software configuration stuff. Still on the backend stuff which is where I prefer to be. Been messing around with .htaccess redirects and multitable SQL joins and search engine infrastructure today. Back to my comfort zone (y)

Those multi table SQL joins can be tricky can't they?

When I try the bloody glue goes everywhere...

Often I don't have enough left for the search engine infrastructure.

I think the latest thinking is double sided tape, glue was always a problem even for the most skilled amongst us.
