I have a two week trip planned this September from North of Scotland and would like to go to South Wales and South of England. Question is, I don’t know if I should book all the sites in advance or book as I go? I have no real itinerary to follow but don’t want to be left without a place to stay. Any advice would be much appreciated.

We are also travelling in September.
I have booked every night and found that some of my first choices were unavailable.
I really hate having to plan like this, but for this year I think it is necessary.

I agree and was unsure so looks like I need to get my spreadsheet out and start booking then. Saying that when watching the Travel Trolls on youtube it seems they are just going from campsite to campsite without much issues.

I've done the same for Sept (Cotswolds). Like you I couldn't get my first choice sites and also hate pre-planning, having always toured abroad.
If one books CAMC sites (no deposit required) and then find somewhere else to stop during the trip or foreign is possible I can cancel no problem up to 72hrs prior.
