About to buy our first motorhome since our VW pop up (6v split windscreen) gave up the ghost about 30 years ago. With our young children we had some great holidays in it, but after it's demise we camped in the UK and Europe most years until recently. We always planned on replacing the VW but reasons of lack of time and being unable to justify the running costs are now in the past, so we are planning on buying one in the next couple of months.
We plan on rectifying our past shameful lack of UK exploration with short breaks to those places we have always meant to visit but have been abandoned in search of some reliable summer sun, usually the Alps and southern Europe. We are also looking forward to taking the grandchildren out for a few overnighters.
I've now paid my £10, after browsing the site seeing what a vibrant and active community this is. Doubtless I will have many questions, and look forward to testing some of my reasoning and criteria for selecting the type of motorhome we plan to buy.
