Anyone had semi air suspension fitted to their motorhome and where did you get it fitted, thank you.

Ordered mine from Italy £300.Had my local commercial garage fit £175.👍

Just going through the process with SAP in Doncaster.
Decided in the end to go with full VB air on the rear.
Mainly because the full air is Mercedes approved product where semi comfort is not.
Was also concerned with youtube posts showing semi air cracking chassis frame.
Rick at SAP very helpful.

125BEER, Sorry it’s an Alko chassis is yours.
Wondering star, just called SAP they want 2,200 pound when towtal quoted me 640 so I’ve got something wrong.

Thank you it must be the Alko chassis that puts the cost up must tell towtal it’s an Alko chassis.

It's Towtal who have got it wrong. Semi air on Alko is usually £2k+, whoever does it.

Two quotes for Alko chassis 2200 and 3000 pound so no air suspension for me, thank you all.

For me on a Sprinter VB comfort air with compressor £1300
Full rear air £4300.

4300 if you’ve got it it looks like I’ll be rattling along, thank you

That’s a fortune I’ve not got thank you.

DIY - £350 and a days labour. Easy job, with van up on the levellers, to run pipes and cables under the van. On my ducato they were run to the front step where everything connected. Kit included control board and again easy to wire and pipe behind dash. Lots of easy to follow threads on YouTube e.g.
Best upgrade we've added.
Good luck whichever route you choose.

Have you had it fitted or just ordered? Asking as we have put down a deposit with SAP but no date for fitting as yet :(

Fitted Dunlop airbags to the rear of my 2007 X250 Ducato WITHOUT using built-in compressor (this can be fitted later), just positioned the two schrader valves below the sliding door and check them when the do my tyres (one side leaked slightly to begin with but when I over-pressured it slightly an ran it a few miles, it seated itself. Now been running last 3yrs without problems.
They were, IF I remember rightly, by a company called Murcle and cost about £350

Hi Puddleduck
Have put down deposit, told delivery times could be up to 17wks so expect fitting sometime in December.
I think another Funster BillandHelen who also have a Sprinter are having full rear air fitted later this month.
Hopefully we may get feed back.

Marcle Leisure for a semi air kit although I think its supply only

Sorry forgot to say, that the main reason I'm having full air is the reports I've seen of semi air kits and spring assisters actually causing damage to the Sprinter chassis.
VB comfort semi air would have been fine, however the thought of a cracked chassis and problems that may bring was to big a risk for me.
VB's website stated maintenance/repair of the semi air would take place in VB dealers whereas Full air supply and service is by VB or Mercedes Benz dealers.
From what I'm told the full air is what's fitted to a factory order.

[/QUOTE. Is that for an Alko chassis and what did it cost. Thank you

You won't get it for an AL-Ko for much under 2 grand, no DIY kits for Al-Ko. Dunlop used to do one for about £1400 but they no longer supply them for DIY, not sure if they have stopped them altogether.

Thank you I don’t think I’ll bother the best I’ve is 3000 can’t afford that
