Any ideas on routing the power cable through the roof to supply a new aircon unit being fitted in the place occupied by mini Heikie skylight. My dealer told me they drill through the insulation but that would mean a 2ft drill which you can't get into a 400mm square hole. Note the aircon unit has already been purchased and is needed for Southern European countries.

if you cant drill through the insulation then i would use D line conduit on the ceiling .They probably drill 12 inches from either end but you would probaly need a angle drill to get that in

Looking at the Swift adverts they are very keen to sell you a fitted aircon, so I would be surprised and disappointed if there wasn't a connection there already.

There is no supply there, I've already removed the mini Heikie

Or could you use a wire coat hanger to poke a way through the insulation ?
The insulation around the edge of the skylight aperture is very dense not just a foam core. Probably to add strength in case aircon fittedšŸ˜€šŸ‘

It would be fairly easy to get through insulation using a hacksaw blade and fix it to a piece of cane or something similar and you can adjust the length accordingly as you work through it.

Hi, Probably too late but my dealer tells me to use copper pipe to cut through the insulation, he says it is pretty easy. The mini Heki is probably reinforced with a wooden frame which needs to be drilled through.
