Added to the usual woes encountered when recommissioning our Bailey Approch Compact 540 for the season (new cab battery for one) and having driven home from storage to load up, I refilled the water tank and left the Alde heating on low overnight. Next morning I've got a low water indication. Knowing the unreliability of the Bailey panel with regard to water levels I opened the tank and sure enough it was empty. Drain plug secure, drain tap closed...odd! Thinking there must be leak somewher I refilled and waited for water to appear... nothing. Then a short while later I heard a loud farting sound coming from underneath which suddenly stopped. Heading for the source of the noise it did it again and I found pressurised water being forced out of the (yellow) drain down tap outlet. Going back in the van, there is a weep from the pump which is clearly under some pressure! It's not running but a quick tap on the drain valve showed the system was (very) pressurised and and obviously been emptying itself.

I've just refilled to see if it does it again, but anyone got any thoughts on this meantime? The dealer did fit a new pump some weeks ago and this is the first time we have used it since.

Whether or not its related, the control panel is playing up as well!

Since 2015, still learning
Is the new pump running at the same pressure as the previous? If the yellow tap is a truma pressure release / water dump valve then it would indicate that either the pump is pressurising the system too much or there is a build up of pressure from the water heater. I must give a health warning that I am no expert but this would be my thought process. Was the water coming out warm? Good luck.

Yup that's what I'm thinking, especially as it's a new pump. Thanks for responding!
