Hi Alan I like the Izuzu :thumb: the tranny 5th wheel does not appeal to me at all but it would make an Ideal project. Not sure what engine or MPG figures for the Izzy but it is one of those things you would keep for a long time if you converted it.:winky:

to be fair milage on these is imaterial. there are hundreds of them running around with half a million miles on the clock. one of my mates is now in spain with a daf 45 had more than half a million on the clock when he bought it . been to maroc twice and now on its second trip round spain and portugal. they go on and on . some are doing a thousand miles a day in work mode . but library vans are usually no where near that. they do make ideal campers . mind my mates is n ex prison 6 cell truck. another one uses a iveco 8 cell prison truck . lots of character , if they could talk i bet they could tell a few stories . ha ha .
anybody know what the book value is for a library bus . hee ee

Just to add to VWalans comment. When working for thr Coop earlier this year, many of their Volvo fleet had done over one million kilometers, and they would be sold on (London LRZ), commercial vehicles get regularly maintained on the intructions of the lease companies who mostly own then....and the law!

The lack of mileage info doesn't concern me, I'm aware that high mileage is no barrier. Just the fact that it was studiously ignored, and I was just wondering why.

Would make a nice self build.
Prior to delivery I'd want all those shelves removed. Management would want to fill them with shoes.:thumb:

looks to good to be true most of these librarys do little milage the one we have in the village only drives about 3miles and then stands for an hour then same again about 6 times a day parts will be reasonably priced and easy to obtain but what ever you do don't break a wing mirror must be a grand each if you compare to fiats prices:Eeek:
