Vacuum cleaners - stick with Vax if you can - we've had a few and despite having other makes we simply cannot match Vax weight and power. We have a couple of Mach Air versions (1 at home, one at static) which are lighter than other vacuum cleaners but just as good (I can't use a heavy vacuum) - we have 3 dogs so know what you mean about dog hairs and they do a brilliant job.

We had one many years ago as a "fun" boat. They do not go in a straight line unless you have a skeg. They catch the wind and do not really have the carry capacity for two adults (payload 155kg). Do not use in any sort of bad weather and NOT on the sea - with an offshore wind you will be a mile out before you know it and no way back.

On a pond / very small lake, grade 1 river you would have fun!!! You may also get the bug and end up buying a better kayak.

You can get folding or "split" paddles but they would cost more than the kayak.
Yeah was a bit concerned how would work at sea, where we use most.
We just want something to have bit of fun with whilst the dogs are swimming. We used to Scuba dive, sadly Nige can't anymore and there is a void. Though maybe Kayak or poss paddle boards might be a good option. Space in the van limits our options though :(

I'd say pay a little be more and go for a Gumotex - can't beat them for ease of drying out after use!

Some info on the below threads regarding inflatable canoes/kayaks:

As for paddles - go for a split shaft type which goes into 2 pieces for easy storage - whilst there are some that split into 3 or even 4 sections I'd avoid these as the joints obviously add weight and also mean they are a bit less rigid in use - if the 2 piece ones are too long they can be easily cut down to size which is what I did with ours.
Love the pics of your dogs in yours, if only our 3 were smaller, they would love it, though I suspect would jump in the water constantly :)

Yes, one of ours likes to jump from one to the other, either directly or swimming ... flipping nuisance she is! :D
