Seeking guidance (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Looking for a bit of guidance, we have booked a mobile home for the 24/11/08 for a week and pick it up in Munich Germany. Not a 100% sure of rout we will take yet but thinking of going down to Austria then Italy and into France.

I know it will be tight on a weeks bubget but hay, firstly has anyone got suggestions on route to take and secondly any pitfalls potentialy ahead, we have never been campervaning before so any suggestions would be welcomed.

Not been abroad in the camper yet as we havent got our pet passport, but we do regularly go away during winter months for short breaks.

Take a small portable electric heater and a hot water bottle just in case xxxxxx and on a lighter note dont forget the bottle opener rofl

Seriously have a look through the various forums, there are a few threads on germany etc which have previously been posted so browse the forums too xxx

There are also a lot of Christmas markets which start around the time you have booked which are always worth a look the link below will give you a complete list of towns/cities that have Christmas markets, the list is down the left hand side just click on the towns/cities you fancy

hi Derek and welcome to the FUN,

germany, austria, italy, france then back to germany.........

sounds like an awful lot of driving to do it in one week.

at this time of year you'll spend all daylight hours driving, not seeing the sights and having no fun.

have you considered just germany and austria this time so you get to enjoy the scenery ect.
