Some....good & bad!
Hi,
Need to entertain my 3 grandchildren in August. Looking for a site in walking distance of beach and town amenities within 100 miles of Bristol.
So Nth or Sth Devon or Sth Wales.
Any recommendations?

Haven Holidays at Weymouth? It won't be cheap but it will keep the kids entertained!
Thanks but full.
CAMC site at Minehead, you can get day visitor tickets to Butlins. Good beach. West Somerset steam railway terminus in Minehead gives a nice day out and a great stop en route to Dunster Castle.
Possible, would need to renew my CAMC membership though as went over to the other side!
CCC site is too far away.

Ditto. They’ll love it.

Mine head- if you’ve gone to the dark side they don’t take two wheeled pixie boxes there as access to the site is a bit fraught!

Parkdean, Ruda, Croyde.

On the beach, entertainment passes included, small village has an ice cream shop.

Bus stops outside thegatesand will take you to Barnstaple or Ilfracombe.

That’s a good one for the kids. Decent pub(s) in the village and nearby. Plus the surfing/boogie boarding will use up their energy!

Thank you for that, but by 'the other side' I meant the CCC instead of the CAMC.

Look at the Haven site at Tenby, Kiln park.
10 to 15 min walk through the back of the site to the centre of Tenby.Plenty for the kids to do at Kiln park. And not too far from Bristol.

Full, but a bit far and pricey too, but thanks anyway.

Seems like you need to book a year in advance these days for anywhere nice. Looks like it's going to be Northam Farm Brean. Bit tacky but not too far, cheap and has everything on hand for kids.

Thanks all for your suggestions.
