Thought it was worth mentioning two excellent Temporary Holiday Sites (THS) organised by the C&CC in the Scottish Borders that we have visited.....
(A) Kelso at the Border Union Showground until 18/8. Lovely site this at £7 night inc good clean toilets & showers. Short walk into the this lovely town with plenty of shops & eateries.
(B) Dalkieth Country Park on outskirts of Dalkieth until 23/8. Good firm grass park at £7 pn with shops nearby but importantly a 5 min walk to regular bus stop for buses straight into Edinburgh for the Fringe and Tatto which are onto the end of August.
We have just been to the Fringe on the Royal Mile for the first time yesterday and today and really enjoyed the acts there.
