I did it in a convertible sports car years ago in Dec. Top down most of the time, fantastic.
Always said i would do it on my m/bike, never got aroundtooit.

Thanks for all your replies very much appreciated.
Confirm my fears, decided to stay south of the boarder and make the best if it around the Yorkshire dales and Lake District.
Still a little defeated that our trip to the continent will not happen, however counting our blessing we are safe and well.

Why not look at the South West 300, just over the border and turn left. Some great scenery missed by most as they head north
