Anyone got one,what model. Was considering getting one with a wide base extension so that I have no lateral movement, without securing it. Thoughts?

Got one and IMHO they are no good on their own. You still need a least a couple of straps otherwise a sharp stop or roundabout and it'll move or worse. Don't forget chocks are heavy and eat into your payload.

I know a lot if the guys use them as it holds the bike up while they lash it down, I tried it but prefer a rail that also helps to keep the garage floor clean.

If you're at Statford or Malvern etc I'm sure you'll be able to check out a few garages.
