Brand new to it!
Hi.
I am picking up my 2001 Swift Sundance 590RL next week
I am very interested in taking a 125 lightweight scooter (About 110kg) and like the idea of using a rack that fits to the tow bar rather than towing a trailer
My van has a pushbike rack fitted on the back at the moment
Does anyone know if it is possible to carry a scooter on a rack without removing the pushbike rack?
Many Thanks
Jamie

Before you go any further you MUST do the weight calculation to see if the scooter can be carried without overloading the back axle when strapped to the back. Simple moments about a point or google the tow bar manufacturers where you'll find a calculator form.

You 125kg may well add 250kg to the back axle due to the leverage of the overhang. And worse, it's 125kg plus the carrier.
