Schaffhausen Rhine Falls (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys, currently driving through Black Forest heading for Rhine Falls, can anyone suggest a decent stellplatz within reach / convenient for the Rhine falls please ?

Lottstetten is a good place to stay. It is free, has EHU, near shops and about 7 km to the falls with the bike.
It also has the advantage of being in Germany which means cheaper prices at the shops.
Coordinates N47° 37.890 E8° 34.692

If you want to be walking distance from the falls there is overnight parking on the south side of the Rhine, about 500m from Schloss Laufen in Switzerland.
It is free but there is no EHU, or anything else apart from the parking.
Coordinates are N47° 40.410' , E8° 37.200

Main advantage is that from Schloss Laufen there are steps leading down, only meters away from the crashing waterfall, with several viewing platforms.

When we visited we stopped in a stellplatz on the Swiss side. Showers and toilets. Pay on exit system. Very short walk to falls.

I'm assuming it's still there.

Be careful. Do not use the parking 300m south of the one mentioned by Hilldweller, at N47°40.428 E8°36.516.
That has become ridiculously expensive at 35 SFr. for an overnight stop.
