Has anyone tried to use the SCDB Safety Camera Database from www.scdb.info, instead of buying a more expensive, dedicated Garmin/TomTom product for your Satnav? I did a search for SCDB but it doesn't appear in any threads, as far as I can see.

I have a Garmin Camper 660 for use in the motorhome and its 'sample' camera files are getting old now. I also have another Garmin unit I generally use in the car. If I buy safety cameras from Garmin for both units, the cost will be nearly £50 for a year to cover Europe. The SCDB database is 9.95€ a year and it would appear you can use it on as many devices as you want, as their licence covers personal use by you, rather than use on a single unit. They appear to have their own vehicle(s) running round checking cameras, as well as reports from users.

Thanks

Not compatible with new generation TomTom....GO 50/500/5000 etc.
It appears if you need TomTom mydrive connect it doesn't comply.
Older versions using TomTom home should work.
Looks good if they release a later compatible version.

I'm sure you already know but for the benefit of anyone that doesn't the use of such a database with a satnav is illegal in France and many other European countries.
