A closed road diverted us here.

We were not on a motorbike but an 8m motorhome, and were going the opposite way round. Look at about the 8 min point on the very long video. It took us longer though.

This was probably our no2 scary road. The other was similar but so little used it had grass growing up the middle. Can't remember exactly where it was now.

Agree about the road to Applecross but glad we did it as it is spectacular. We are only 6m and wouldn't recommend it in anything longer.

Pete didn't like the Pont du N on a motorbike in a high wind, but it was fine in a motorhome. I wouldn't have liked to do the Cat & Fiddle in a moho in the days we used to ride along it but it might be OK now it's speed restricted LOL

The ONE road we both agree we never want to go down in a moho ever again though is on the Ile d'Oleron and it was a diversion that we didn't realise until it was too late - was under 2m wide.

Just don't visit some places on market day any more!

I was over ruled by sat nag and other half and ended up in the Doone valley in North Devon in our 8m,beautiful but glad we didn't meet anything and got some strange looks from the locals!

Done that AND had engine totally cut out on probably the busiest cross roads in the city. Spent 30 mins directing traffic until ADAC agent arrived. Probably know every curse in Italian, definitely won't repeat it. It was a totally collapsed injector by the way.

Sitting watching and it scared me. Surely at some point the road would have been blocked if a motorhome and a car had meet.

Only skipped through it - but didn't see a bin lorry, nor a bus... so it isn't for me :D2.

A few hairy ones in Turkey, but the worst in Europe was when leaving Benidorm in a 7.5 ton motorhome pulling a big box trailer and when I arrived at the Somport tunnel it was closed. I could not turn round, so decided as it was late at night to take a risk going over the top even though there was a 3.5 ton limit on it. Thankfully the bus was fitted with a Telmar retarder as the box trailer was full of wine. Pat was so terrified she went to bed. Had anything bigger than a moped come the other way, I would have still been there today.

Did Applecross in 8.4 M/H towing car on trailer. No problem with the artic we met, but the woman driving a sports car caused more hassle .But a great drive

Anywhere in Croydon!

I agree that.

I hate the place. About 10 years ago I had to go there on 2 successive days . On day one I wrote the office car off and on day 2 I got nabbed by the cops for jumping a red light at a roundabout. I hadn't even seen the traffic lights

I wouldn't drive the Amalfi Coast road in a MH. I've been along it in a bus and a coach so it is doable, but it's the combination of tourist traffic, hairpin bends, steep drops, overhanging balconies and zero parking or turning space that puts me off.

I imagine central Naples wouldn't be much fun from what little I've seen of the suburbs.

The only narrow road I've ever had to reverse down for a mile was in Wales. Usually it's OK.

Bolzano is quite interesting on bikes:eek:

That picture is like every Italian town/city centre we've ever driven through. After a while you start driving like the locals and it becomes less problematic :)

The last ten minutes approaching the village before Shell Island ... the road too narrow and the wall on ldft dropped down jagging out .. poor June lost the front corner of her van last summer :(

Not as scary as those you all mention but when my precious van in danger I get protective.

@Ambilkate can you put name of road for me .. I can't remember it. :(
