Saved myself a few quid on awning support strut.. yay!! (1 Viewer)

Well, looked for a Dometic awning central support strut couldn’t find one( they are around £80 or more)
So instead bought an extendable clothes line holder that miraculously snaps in place , 2.5 m extension.
£10!!

Great if it truly does the same job and until it pops off and rips through your expensive awning for the sake of saving a few quid.

I thought it needed to be tight up to the fabric to take the sag out of it?

dont know where you got the £80 from. Rose awnings prices below. doubt very much if a cloths prop will provide the tension it needs
