We have panasonic built in radio sat nav. Sat nav only works intermittently.
For example picked van up from storage thursday drove 70 miles to wales sat nav would not work. Started van to come home sat nav on all way home. Any ideas ? Would cold affect it?

Are you sure it’s a Panasonic sat nav? Most sat nav companies send updates to your email address asking for you to upgrade your maps every few months when road changes happen. If this is not happening for you maybe your built in sat nav is no longer supported.

It sound like a poor power contact. Otherwise an intermittent fault can be the devil to trace.
I cannot say I know anything about a panasonic s.n. I have a built in TomTom which argues with my portable Garmin. When things go iffy with them, a hard boot usually works.

Thanks the unit is panasonic so assumed the sat nav is i have been told to send it away to a company called d tronics in milton keynes. Same old story when i decide im going to bite the bullit and send it for repair it miraculously works nothing worse than a intermittent fault,

Most satnavs use either Garmin or Tom Tom for software, I haven’t heard of a Panasonic Satnav system.
