So I just bought a 98 Tiffin Allegro, its quite a bit wider than my current Hymer, so I was looking at reviews for camper and or trucker sat nav's that you can input your rigs size, unfortunately there seem to be so many bad reviews of tom tom and garmin even snooper, so I was looking at Mio Spirit 8670LM Truck. What are the rest of you American Rv's using that keeps you on the right road's?

Another vote for the navtec type. The hardware can be a bit unreliable but their so cheap you can carry a couple of spares and still be far cheaper than any of the others.

I used my Garmin Dezl 760 in our Winnebago Wide bodied Brave. I had it set to Truck mode because even in Camper mode with the height set at 3.5 metres, it still tried to take me into a 2.5m height limited underpass in Rouen, twice! The truck setting took me the right way.
If I could give you some advice, (if like us, we never plan a route), it would be to check the route carefully as you drive.

Have the TT truck 5150 pro live can't fault it after 50,000 kms around Europe. Luckily I have free life time maps though. Keeping it updated is what makes a sat nav good

I have been using the aguri rv700 for past year .Only done about 6000 miles on all types of roads and so far its not put me wrong. But will continue to use it while having a good road map to hand. Roy

Aguri RV 700 for me too, let's you input dimensions and hasn't steered me wrong yet, plus it has SO many other uses including screen for wireless reverse camera.

Noza Tec 7" Truck Sat Nav here, but with the all important ftr files (Truck files).

It must be knocking on nearly four years or so now since I bought it, and it's hardly put a foot wrong. :) It certainly didn't all the way to Split in Croatia, and back last year. (y)
I do have the maps updated annually though. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
