Hi My Sargant EC600 control panel in my Swift 684 is tripping out with msg that van battery is over charged also telling me that my hab battery is over charging. Check both which are fine removed controller panel did re boot no change any fixes for this fault thanks
 
As above. Call sergeant direct, usually very helpful.

Did as you said very helpful issue was the solar panel controller sending too much charge to battery’s disconnected panel all back to normal thanks for the advice

Some solar controllers need connecting in a definite sequence. Battery first, then solar panels. The solar controller automatically recognises the battery voltage as 12V or 24V, and sets up the charger voltages.

If not in that order, the controller can get a high voltage of say 24V from the panels, feeding through to the battery terminals which have no battery connected. The controller registers that 24V as the voltage of a 24V battery, and sets up the charging voltages. Then when a 12V battery is connected, it overcharges.

So try disconnecting the panel input, and the battery output. Then connect in the correct order, battery first, then panels.
