Sargent control panel

What ever the total amp hours you have. You need to factor in that you wont get the full amount as batteries lose a small percentage as they get older.

The loss is known as Peukert's Law, I'm not sure what should be knocked off but 5/10% would be a good starting point, after all the panel is only a tough guide.

Hi guys,

Do I leave my panel at 100ah on the ah% indicator or reset my control panel to 200 ah when I add a second leisure battery?
Thanks

Mark
I asked Sargent technical support the very same question with two 100a Leisure batteries and they suggested setting 200 amps as the total output.

You're right about the loss in battery capacity as the battery gets older, but that's not Peukert's Law. That's the loss in battery capacity if you take the power out faster, ie higher discharge amps. It happens just as much on a new battery as an old one. Also if you reduce the discharge rate, the capacity increases again.
