On the Cap Finistre tomorrow to Santander and arrive about 5pm so going to stay local overnight at either the Aire near the University or Cabaceno, anyone know which was is the best one for overnight.

My suggestion would be Lierganes, CC6015. It's beside the railway station but the trains aren't noisy and they stop overnight. Nice town worth exploring. See if you can find the Fish Man under the Medieval bridge. :)

We stayed here last Saturday after our crossing Marina Deportivo N43.427907 W3.805002 12minutes from the ferry 7 euros a night including EHU but nobody came to collect it. Next to the airport don't be put off by the approach road through the industrial bit the marina is good. There are no actual signs for it until you reach it. They have their own website.
Hope your crossing is smoother than ours!

I cannot make the comparison, but Cabarceno is very quiet and nice to wake up in the morning with the view of the lake and wildlife.

We've stayed at both, chalk sand cheese really. The elephant park is fine especially if you're hanging about And want to enjoy the scenery. The marina is really very handy for hopping off the ferry and getting going first thing straight out onto the M-way.

At the Marina the chaps comes round for the money driving a golf buggy,, when he can be ar**ed, which is not often.

We will be in the marina next Saturday night, on Cap Finistère next Friday.
