We have a large teddy bear dressed as Santa in traditional green (before Charles Dickens changed it to red) stood next to the fireplace in the lounge
Teddy the pup came in for a sniff around and came across it.
I've never seen a dog run sideways, looking over its shoulder with its tail between its legs, he then leant against the door shaking.
Absolutely terrified of Santa bear
:xeek:

Looking after our son's pug for a few days, he spotted a smallish Santa and snowman sitting in the sun lounge and barked his head off for ten minutes.

Sorry for the laugh reaction . I don’t like seeing dogs frightened but your description made me chuckle 😂. Hope he is ok now 👍🏻

We had a log burner fitted on Saturday...our Golden Retriever Harvey hasn't been in the lounge since!!! 🤣
He's a bit special....anything new in the house freaks him out 🙈

Blue, our normally quiet whippet had a barking fit when he saw the old fibreglass "boy in calipers" collecting box in the bar of the Wiseman's Bridge Inn, he did the same with a small fibreglass sheep outside a butcher's in York, much to the amusement of some tourists, even though he was acclimatised to sheep as a pup ?

As I have said elsewhere our Paddy still isn’t sure about the Christmas tree. Last weekend he noticed the lights in the sitting room window and sat staring at them.
We moved the presents off the hearth to under the tree because he was getting too interested in them. The other dogs we had would have had them torn open in seconds especially the Terrier.

Ours shredded a nice fluffy Santa a couple of years ago.
Walked past it for days, no reaction, then…..
When we weren’t around….
Crafty little s*d

I was always under the impression that it was Coca-Cola that put santa in red in the 1930s...

Think it was just after they stopped using wooden batteries pappajohn :xrofl:
