Hi
Off to see The Who August 28th at Sandringham, and need somewhere to park up.

Looking for suggestions. Also planning to stop in Cambridge on the way, so any tips or recommendations would be great there too.

Thanks

Karen

Both the CCC & C&MH have sites at Sandringham, right next to each other. There's not much to choose between them except the C &MH is more expensive.

Both also have sites at Cambridge but if you have a bus pass and belong to the CCC, St Neots (about 1/2 mile from town centre) is a nice site right beside the River Ouse and has a regular Coach/Bus service to Cambridge centre passing the American Cemetery on the outskirts of Cambridge.

Second the CCC site at St Neots. Nice walk along the canal into town. We've booked a couple of nights there on the way up to the Swaffham bash!

Thanks everyone. Both Sandringham sites fully booked, but I have managed to get onto Gatton Waters for 4 nights.
So, I decided to go to the Van Morrison gig as well.!!!
Impulsive, moi?

I am not a big Van fan but love Squeeze, who are supporting.

And thanks for the recommendation to visit Bury St Edmunds Phil.

My summer is filling up nicely. Two festivals, two big name gigs, and 3 MHF rallies.

Shame I still have to work, as well, 😆

Squeeze, went to see them in Cambridge last year…. They uttered the phrase you NEVER want to hear at a gig
‘here is something from our latest album ‘
it was not good, left at the interval

I saw them at the Sunshine Festival, Upton upon Severn last August. On that occasion, they played all the old favourites, and the crowd loved it.
I agree, being introduced to new material can be disconcerting, and possibly rubbish. Fingers crossed for a good experience

I have read negative comments about Van Morrison live, no rapport or interest in the audience. But as I am not a fan, I don't have high expectations anyway.

Anyone else seen him live?

Actually, just realised I forgot to mention Billy Joel, in Hyde Park. Looking forward to thar one, as well. Although I think an open air concert will probably not be as good acoustically.

Trying to catch some of the oldies before it's too late.

We saw him in Torquay a few years ago. Great music but, as you say, completely bored by the job and zero engagement. Just seemed pissed off for the entire gig. His mood wasn't helped by a power cut part way through one of his songs.
