Since 2016 and caravanning before that
Assuming we can get a carer in for Dad we are thinking of booking a weekend in Salisbury and see if we spot any old ruins.....
Go on Gellyneck AndyPK PaulyP fill your boots 😁

Funnily enough, we've just literally arrived in Salisbury. Parked up by the rugby club north of the city, (coincidentally, adjacent to the Camping and Caravan Club site). About to walk into the city on the cycle path, against the river (about 40 minutes). Appears to be free both night and day with no overnight camping restrictions. A bit of road noise, but otherwise seems good. One other motorhome tucked up here too.

Oh handy to know. I was going to book the CCC site tonight

Just to update - there is an even better car park 100m further down the lane towards the CCC site entrance. No road noise, no restrictions, beautifully paved, although a little less level than the first one. Looks out across playing fields with a view of Old Sarum.

I'll update in the morning, bit expecting a quiet night, although anticipate early morning dog walkers.

Salisbury Cathedral spectacular.

Lovely peaceful night. First dog walkers arrived just before 7.00 this morning. Now off to Stonehenge.
