Salamanca camping? (1 Viewer)

Hi all , we are travelling down to Portugal with Motorhome + car on a trailer. Can anyone suggest a campsite in Salamanca where there is plenty of room so I can stay hitched? Cheers in advance

Hotel Regio is so good even I have paid to stay there (a few years ago).

Hotel Regio is an hotel with motorhome facilities. Extremely good

Another vote for Regio. We had a couple of nights there two years ago. There is a bus turns in the hotel entrance that takes you into Salamanca centre.

If you just want an overnighter there is an Aire on the outskirts of the city at Area de el Encinar

Never been anywhere with staff as rude as Hotel Regio - reception staff have no interest, waiter in restaurant literally threw our plates onto the table. Washroom is excellent, but ground pretty unkempt low season.
Anywhere but Regio for us.

I can see where you are coming from , but for a stopover and the easy bus access to town it still gets our vote. Certainly wouldn’t stop more than a couple of nights. It was unkempt in high season too @Solwaybuggier you are spot on

We're at Regio this very moment - bags of room ! Enjoying Salamanca hugely

The good thing about Regio is that even if arriving late you can get in because the hotel reception will let you in. Getting out before 7am needs to be arranged though. Salamanca is a great place to explore for a day or two.

If it is just a stop over , we regularly use El Encinar parking aire , Great Butchers in the little shopping precinct ,
Police station just round the corner so it is well patrolled Water and cassette point at opposite corners of the parking area . Shell garage on the road in from the direction of Salamanca ,
