The one i bought was total rubbish. Poor Chinese quality. Didn't always record and wouldn't work if not connected to a live source ...so I bought one from @Jaws and its a little dearer but works exactly as it should.had it for two years now and its still going strong. Hope the cheap one I bought was just a rogue and you will get a good one. But like most things you get what you pay for Roy

We had a cheap dash cam. I didn't know how many purple hedges we had in the UK. Colour quality abysmal otherwise it stood up to 5 years of full time use including while stationary but no GPS or Motion sensor.

I really struggle to wipe the recorded footage from my cheepish one from amazon so when it is full it just switches off. probably me but the instructions and drop down menus are crap. you would think when you press delete it would do the job but no!

I got this one from screwfix. @£39.99
No gps, but motion sensor, loop recording and night vision. Dedicated hot shoe as well, so the wire stays put in the mount when you remove it.
Good reviews too.
