Anyone tried contacting Saga Insurance lately ?

We had an accident in our Hymer and trying to get a claim sorted is almost impossible, no-one (real or otherwise) answers a telephone.

E-mail, or telephone, the Underwriters. Their name must be on the certificate.

If that fails then contact the Insurance Ombudsman office, who will inform you that first you must try to resolve the matter with the insurers before they will consider your complaint. At which point say that Saga will not respond.

That's odd. Called them yesterday. No problem. Mind you, that was for a quote.....

Had no problem requesting a Green Card before Xmas. But apparently they're all working from home now.

Not saga, but i found that calling the new quote number and acting daft got me transferred to someone in the claims department.

Seems SAGA are in financial trouble, mainly cruise/holidays. Could be selling off the insurance arm.

One of their insured drivers hit my van. I agreed to let them sort my van. BIG mistake, terrible at doing anything, they couldn't find a garage that could do a motorhome and mines a panel van conversion! Took months to arrange a repair at a garage I had to find myself.
Avoid!!!
