Calor went through a process of checking the bottles in the dodgy age range a few years back, if they passed I think they stamped a hole in the collar plate. Since then they tried to withdraw them altogether, so that they could introduce a new lightweight cylinder with a new hire agreement. They seem to have backed off from withdrawing them all, a bit like a dog that pretends that it wasn’t chasing a bird that flew off well before it got near.
