Hi All

Wonder if you could help. I have recently purchased a Holiday Rambler from a dealer and was told that RV's do not have service records books as per a european motorhome, only have invocies for services carried out. Is this ture???

Pete

I do not know whether it is true for all RVs but I have owned two brand new RVs from two different Dealers - and neither of them had Service Record Books.

I've never had a service book just invoices and receipts of work done.

Same here ..

But, I have a Cummins manual with service records for the engine only.

I have a Coachmen Santara....and that has a section in the back of the owners manual for service recording ......not that anyone has bothered to fill it in  it's still empty

I have a 1995 Rockwood Regent and the service record is in the rear of the manual and luckily has always been kept up to date.

Back end of last year I sold a holiday rambler to dealer with service history and all invoices intact. Don't know if they pass them on though. Have just purchased Coachmen Concorde from the same dealer; no service history whatsoever. Not even the one they claim to have completed prior to delivery to me.

Back of the manual for me too, its never seen a stamp though

Just to be different, when I bought my RV new it came with a box full of books on all the house-side appliances and a genuine Workhorse service book. For anyone interested it was roughly postcard sized, about 3/4" thick and in a dark brown plastic Workhorse branded wallet .

Had it stamped just like a car service book for all the years I had it.
