Well were home, got back last night around 6.30pm parked up and dumped as you do, after leaving CareAvan Birmingham at around 4.30 just in time to meet everyone else going home on the Birmingham Queensway, emptied the van, had a chippy tea and zonked out so no update last nigh,Sorry
The last day Wednesday started early as do the careAvan team, so we up and about for 7am the wind had dropped overnight and bright sunny day greeted us
A little drama at around 10.30 kept us all entertained for an hour or so as a live episode of “The Bill” played itself out before our very eyes.
As we chatted in the yard a guy who himself looked a bit dodgy asked if we’d seen anyone running through here, we hadn’t
It turns out they had just put the front door in with the famous police door knocker as seen on TV at a house a hundred yards or so away from the factory, they, the police don’t watch the “The Bill”
Obviously, as when they flattened the front door” Boyo” shot out the back and away, no socks, no shoes, no shirt, no trousers, just his best boxer shorts, how he hoped to remain inconspicuous was beyond me, then came the dog van with girt big German Shepherd.
After about half an hr, he was sacked and dog number two, a Spaniel was given the task of taking over the hunt
Another hour past and they gave up, he was long gone, We did see him come back for a brief few seconds, but he vanished again just as quick, he was a site to behold almost stark naked and frozen through hanging onto his nuts for warmth, Pammy even considered giving him a blanket
Anyhoo were home now with no one but ourselves to butter up, I can now dish the dirt and reveal all.
Only trouble is, there ain’t none, how disappointing is that
In the cold light of day, bill paid, and time to reflect and inspect, we are as happy now with the completed job as we were when we first saw the new bits coming back in the van,
For us it was a super smooth operation from start to finish
The chosen fabrics I realise will not be to every ones taste, but the finished RV has to be judged on the overall improvement in appearance and desirability
Would I recommend careA van, Yes without hesitation
As an extra special treat they even get in a TV celebrity for the topping out’ hand over ceremony see pics

Can I give any tips, Yes I think I can, the secret to a satisfactory Job has to be communication.
Make sketches and make copies, make notes on the sketches, and dish them out like confetti.
Anything your unsure about ask they wont bite,

It should be born in mind having a company refurb your Motorhome or RV is nothing like buying a TV or getting a service done, nothing at all
Refurbishing a vehicle of any kind is a manufacturing process, i.e. made as a one off for you, not an off the shelf product or routine process, each and every project will be different, therefore different problems will arise and communication can and will solve any problem,
If you see or think something isn’t quite right or you’d prefer it done different, TELL EM
George, Paul, Martin, are all very approachable people, they would prefer to hear from you, rather than you suffer in silence
Make their day tell em what you want and they’ll do it simples
Overall very happy, already booked next year for 3 days in Costa careAvan
If anyone wants an in the flesh look see you know where to find us
Sincere thanks to CareAvan and the team
Special thanks to Harry Hill for the guest appearnce:thumb:

Cheers for now,

Hi Jock

No problem, come and have a cuppa. We'll be there from Thursday and you'll probably just be walking in to

"don't put that there - put it away"
"don't leave that on the table"
"what you put that there for"
"tidy that up"

Oh the problems he has just caused for himself :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Poor ol man :winky:
