I have recently found in some hidden areas under my campervan, rust. surface rust not deep but I have been told that indrtseal could only make matters worse as it can cover the rust and let it carry on eating away at the chassis. what would people reccomend please that can be put on the areas to stop any further deterioration. many thanks for any replies

Can you deal with the source of water - is it just surface water spraying up or is it coming down from drain channels?
Apply phosphoric acid to convert the rust back to iron.
When dry apply a metal primer.
I'd wait for a bit of damp weather and see if I can hr rust re-emerges. If it does, repeat as above.
Finish with paint / waxoyl and monitor for further rust.

Sprayed this on a couple of months ago. Easy to do and is clear after spraying it on so it doesn’t hide anything.

I spray lithium grease on anything that would rust. 1 application lasts years.

There are a number of threads here that deal with this a simple search for rust will throw up a few including

Without rust conversion treatment ie turning the brown stuff black blue etc just covering with grease /waxoyl/dinitrol will just multiply your problems later.
My favourite is fertan, whichever product you use follow the instructions as not doing so can cause more trouble than you cure.

I bought a 5l 'rust eater' from eBay for an older van that had failed the MoT - worked brilliantly and solved the issues identified, after a week or so of very hot weather, I then waxoyled the areas. I have checked on the vehicle history for the last 3 MoT's and no mention whatsoever of surface rust any more .....
