She reversed over a cactus and it took her water pipe off, someone where she was parked temporarily fixed it for her, I’m just checking and telling her that she needs to buy a new tank outlet coupling, but i think it’ll last till she gets back unless I come across the part…🤔

Parking for a push bike there! 😆

Some of us were too polite to comment 🤭

You’re lucky I didn’t post another picture of me getting down from my chair that Cintia took…. Forget a push bike, it looked like a loading bay…😆🤣☀️😎

We were parked up at Erg Chebbi in the Sahara one year and I got up to go for a walk into the desert a bit as I thought this would be a great place for my morning meditation and within 5 mins this boy appears trying to sell me this stuff, he had a wee bag & pockets like a circus clown the amount of stuff he pulled out 🤣
We were miles from anywhere and it was 6.00 o'clock in the morning! View attachment 1008068
When we drove over the high Atlas in a car not seen anyone all day. Stopped to look at the view up pops a man with a bag full of silver stuff. I think we ended up 20 quid lighter.

I’ll say this for the Moroccans they certainly don’t miss an opportunity, there is definitely a lot more up and coming people here, with the new developments going up all over the place it’s only getting better and with more tourists coming here they are becoming more westernised. Lots of local women and girls in western clothing…
The place still has a long way to go but I haven’t seen certain things I was expecting, I am surprised at the amount of locals on the beaches swimming and sitting for the day, I’ve never seen anyone dumping rubbish on the beaches and certainly not digging holes to fill, in the countryside yes I have but not on the beaches….

Most of the rubbish on there is blown from the land and from some people going through the bins, I see dust carts every day emptying the bins so they probably go to land fill…

You have to accept the place for what it is to enjoy your time here…

But I guess if the country changes too much it won’t be such an adventure being here….☀️😎

Went in to Safi this morning for a bit of breakfast and a look about, I love the Moroccan pottery loads of it at home already & this is the No1 place to get it... Hector even got his girlfriend Heidi back home in Ireland a personalised water bowl (very romantic) 🤣🐶(Heidi last pic) lol

If they go to France they might get a lot of bother from cycle mounted purveyors , as they are advertising their lack thereof . :)

I don't usually notice number plates much but just had a look around and spotted this nice plate a couple of vans down from me... is Lenny HB actually in Morocco after all? And has he got rid of his Carthago and bought an Autotrail? And has he also become Welsh! Lol

Just smiffy. Garry, can I ask, have the Moroccon authorities relaxed the rules on alcohol? I always thought it was a dry country, despite Brits carrying their own stash in the MH.

Great photos of you all enjoying yourselves. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Most hotels have alcohol and some bars, there’s usually a place near where they sell it, haven’t found difficulty in finding a restaurant or bar that does it.

Also there’s usually a fair mix of locals and tourists drinking in them, tonight we had two pizzas two chips and a deep fried seafood mix with 4 bottles of rosé for 120dh €12 each.

Love it here and the weather is lovely and warm/hot during the day and cosy in the van at night with no need for heating at all…

Will be sad to leave this little group and a fair few other brits on this site all very friendly with a good mix of young and older and all for €7 a night. If you want EHU that’s another €1…😆

Fantastic beach a stones throw away and we eaten quite a few times in this hotel/restaurant where Tagines are €5.

I could quite easily stay here for the 3 months…😆☀️😎
