Run to the sun….

Our accommodation in Luang Prabang found by wandering the budget area. Mrs Barryh under the brolley. It would have been just a few pounds, probably £5 or so. We have stayed in huts for a couple of quid. Prices will have moved on of course since 2011. View attachment 1007093
We used to do that, but sometimes ended up in some real fleapits so these days when we've decided where we're going next we tend to book something for the first couple of nights via booking.com or airbnb then look locally if we want to stay longer.

That's our plan too, or recommendations. The night before we will decide where we are heading and make sure we have somewhere to stay through the booking sites or direct with the hotel.

Sat outside in the van, there all setting their stalls up tonight, will go in tomorrow, will see how many camels I can get for Cintia…😎
Are you swopping Cintia for Camels?
You realise they are a lot bigger and they won’t cook you nice food, they’ll just smell and slobber!

And Phill D, I totally get you both re the all the P's 👍 despite being departed from the RAF Fire Service in 1987 after 12.5 x years service, and then 20 x years LA Fire Service, whereupon the same rules applied. 🤷‍♂️

It can be so frustrating at times to tolerate those who have no comprehension of planning or time keeping. :(

I have 2 x pals down at my local pub. One who is a retired Merchant Navy Ship's Master, and sailed around the world. The other is a retired RAF Avionics Engineer, having served in numerous locations across the world, both with at least 30 x years service each. 👍
Unfortunately neither have a clue about time keeping, nor punctuality.

I do despair. :(

Absolutely agree;
at the risk of being boring 🥱 I find it difficult when someone agrees to take on a task and decides not to complete it without communicating that.

Cared passionately about me team but I must have been a real twat to work with 🤣🤣🤣

Don’t get me wrong lads, I’m the most committed reliable punctual person you could meet, I don’t plan anything now because I don’t have too..😆😎

Boy…. Yes it does…😳
Please pass on my regrets to Paul that he is visiting Coventry by virtue of trying to explain himself, I think it is very sad considering when he is just trying to help others🥲

A few pictures of the market this morning, I tried to capture quieter moments to picture but it was heaving in there, big fruit and veg section animal section and bigger live section outside…
Cintia didn’t like it much when she saw a rabbit get it’s throat cut in front of her…😳

A very big like car boot section outside with all the contents that You’ve thrown in the bin for the last 20yrs…😆

Then a fantastic scenic journey up to Tafraoute, the geography of these ranges are spectacular…

Unfortunately he broke the forum rules so has been sent to the 'naughty step' for contemplation, his post however has been re-posted by Tam verbatim to play fair with Paul.
