Anyone know of any sleepyspots near Royton, Oldham,?
Why oh why do you want to go to Royton it is the pits
My brother lives there and he's unwell.
Ah ok then but I know the area reasonably well but dammed if I can think of a parking spot. I will shout up I think of one
I can name three pubs with big car parks that may be useful
Puckersly. Colliers Arms in Higher Crompton Summit Inn and Yew Tree on Oldham road.
The next alternative but further away is the camping site at Hollingworth Lake
we will keep thinking
If you are in the C&CC this is very convenient next to Jnctn 19 of the M62, 10 mins from Royton.
If not a member this is not too far away
Other than that there are several industrial estates and retail parks in the area but don't know about the legalities of parking overnight.
I was just about to say the same thing Alan!
Sorry to hear that Ray - hope he's soon better.
If you are in the MCC there is The Hawthorne CL. Never been but looks OK; we are booked for September.
