We are currently on a coastal site near Weymouth.

Very windy. Got up at 1am and detached the tunnel section of our awning from the van. I was worried about the strain the wind was putting on the Fiamma.

Sue and I have had a awful nights sleep. Dozing in and out.

I kept the window blind up that looks out onto the awning.

My daughter and her friend (sleeping in the awning), haven't stirred once and are still asleep now.

The van is really rocking but for all the wrong reasons.

Read the weather warning - gusts expected upto 60mph along coastal regions.

I'm waiting for a bit of a dry spell then I'm off.

Luckily the van is giving the awning some shelter.

I would be off too or maybe just take the awning down.

Stay safe whatever you decide.

Not as bad as I expected from weather forecasts.
I moved the furniture and light breakablescoff the decking yesterday and so far so good.

The wind and rain has just hit Poole now. I hope it clears up soon as bournemouth air fest is on this weekend.

That reminds me of my May trip to Norfolk. The weather was foul and when I opened the hab door in the morning to walk into the awning, it was like a war scene.Awning flapping, tables and chairs overturned, broken glass and empty beer cans rolling around the site.

All part of life's rich tapestry I suppose(y)

Not so windy here in Cheltenham yet but we did move to be behind some garages yesterday just in case. Maybe it'll come later!

Awning flapping can be blamed on the weather, the rest ... well ... we know the truth ... you'd got sozzled the night before!

Spent an hour or two bracing the runner beans yesterday, here in Cornwall and for what? Never heard a thing last night but that could have been the effect of the brandy!
SWMBO has just come in from the garden with 7 and 1/2 lbs of runners. The wind must have done them good!!!

I have been caravanning for 32 years but in 2014 I have"gone over to the dark side"
Storm has reached here (The Solent) now - not a good day to be out on the boat - so luckily I cancelled our proposed trip to Cowes this weekend :)

Not luck really cos I do pay attention to the shipping forecast!! :D

Not too bad here in East Devon. We're in a corner of the field that seems quite sheltered.

I did get up in the night and wind our canopy back in but only because I got fed up of listening to it creaking and flapping. I don't think it would have gone anywhere.

The weather forecast for today has been revised for the better compared to what it was last night so hopefully it won't be too bad.

It's been blowing a gale and raining all night here in west wales. Haven't opened the blinds to find out where our garden furniture is yet but sadly the yelping beagle next door seems to have survived

It's staying true to form here: nothing like as bad as the forecast predicted.

We're sat at Le Crotoy. It's been a windy but sunny morning, now rapidly changing, heavy rain starting any moment I reckon...

I thought you said doggy moments.

John.
Very dodgy, suffering now, coming down the ladder holding a bucket of pug, squall came through and knocked me off about 4 rungs up landed on my back cracked back of my head & elbow on concrete, that was over an hour ago blood still trickling down my face.

Ouch :(
Banged head = possible concussion.
Probably nothing to worry about but don't delay being checked out if you get any other symptoms other than soreness.
I may sound like I'm being a drama queen but people die... Natasha Redgrave thought she was alright - and she just fell in the snow - not from 4 rungs up onto concrete.

OK, I thought you were carrying a little dog down the ladder, Hope somebody has had a look at your head, could need a stitch if it's still bleeding.

No dizziness apart from a few seconds after impact or other symptoms just hurts, elbow is more painful.
Most annoying thing is I've had to stop work and trying to get it finish as we are off next weekend for a couple of months.

First ever attempt at tiling wasn't going too bad until now.
